Terms of Service

Clear terms for privacy-first tools.

These Terms explain how you may use Video2PPT, including its local processing workflow and optional online features.

When you use Local Processing or Desktop Offline Mode, your source files do not leave your device.

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Video2PPT website, desktop application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Axis Lab ("Axis Lab", "Video2PPT", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. Local Processing and Online Features

Video2PPT is designed around privacy-first local workflows. When you use Local Processing or Desktop Offline Mode, supported source files are processed in your browser or on your computer and do not leave your device.

Some optional services, such as processing online links, creating public share links, or features clearly labelled as online, may require the content or link you choose to submit to leave your device. We identify the online nature of those features before you submit content. To keep content entirely local, use Local Processing or Desktop Offline Mode and avoid optional online services.

Local results may remain in your browser or app storage until you delete them, clear site data, or remove local files. You are responsible for backing up important local content.

3. Eligibility, Accounts, and Security

You must meet the minimum age required to use the Service in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by law.

Some features require an account. You must provide accurate and complete information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.

4. Your Content and Limited Permission

You retain ownership of your User Content, including your source files and the results you create. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, and lawful bases needed to process, convert, upload, or share your User Content.

When you actively choose an Online Feature, you grant Axis Lab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited permission to transmit, process, and retain the content or link you submit only to provide that feature, protect the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law. This permission lasts only for the scope and time reasonably needed for those purposes or as otherwise disclosed to you.

We do not receive any ownership interest in your User Content. Local Processing and Desktop Offline Mode do not grant us access to your source files.

5. Public Sharing and Third-Party Services

If you create a public share link, you instruct us to make the content you select available through that link. Anyone who receives the link may be able to access, save, or redistribute that content. Do not use public sharing for confidential, sensitive, or unauthorized material.

When you use an online link or third-party service with Video2PPT, you must also comply with that provider's terms, policies, and applicable law. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to:

  • Process, download, share, or distribute content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • Process personal, sensitive, or children's information without the authority, consent, or other lawful basis required by applicable law;
  • Violate laws, third-party platform rules, or export-control and sanctions requirements;
  • Circumvent security measures, access controls, usage limits, or payment requirements;
  • Interfere with the Service, introduce malicious code, reverse engineer protected parts of the Service, or attempt unauthorized access; or
  • Resell, lease, copy, or commercially provide the Service without our written permission.

7. Plans, Payments, and Renewals

Current prices, included features, usage limits, credits, taxes, and other purchase terms are shown at checkout or in the applicable order information.

  • If checkout identifies a purchase as a recurring subscription, it renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the next period begins.
  • You may cancel an eligible subscription through the order or account controls we make available, or by contacting support. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not automatically delete your account.
  • Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated at checkout, payments already made are non-refundable. This does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.
  • We may change prices or plans for future purchase or renewal periods. Where required or appropriate, we will provide advance notice of material changes.

8. Availability and Outputs

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. Local features may depend on your device, browser, operating system, storage, and source files. Online features may depend on network connections, third-party services, and maintenance.

Automated conversion, extraction, recognition, and editing results may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on, publishing, or distributing them.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a breach of these Terms, a security risk, fraud or abuse, infringement, or a legal requirement. When reasonably practical, we will provide notice or an explanation, except where doing so would create risk or is prohibited by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself delete your account or submit a personal-data deletion request. For privacy requests, use the contact method described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, interfaces, designs, documentation, trademarks, and other protected materials, is owned by Axis Lab or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service or its underlying technology to you.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, perfect output, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Axis Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our Service, security practices, or legal obligations change. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights or obligations.

Updated Terms apply from their stated effective date. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Service. To the extent permitted by law, continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms.

13. Disputes and Mandatory Rights

Please contact us first if you have a concern or dispute. Nothing in these Terms selects an exclusive forum or requires arbitration in a way that takes away any non-waivable right you have under applicable law.

Any dispute will be handled by a court or statutory dispute-resolution body with jurisdiction under applicable law, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing.

14. Contact and Other Terms

Video2PPT is operated by Axis Lab. You can contact us at support@video2ppt.org or at Suites 3201-07, 32/F Tower 5, The Gateway, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
