Welcome to the webinar introducing the MBBS program at Zhejiang University (ZJU). The presenter, Johan from the International School of Medicine at ZJU, will guide prospective students through the university's offerings and application process.
Zhejiang University (ZJU), also known as Zheda, is a top-ranked comprehensive research university. Ranked 47th globally and among the top three in China, it is often called the 'Cambridge of the East'. The university has seven campuses, 40 colleges, and over 60,000 students, including over 5,000 international students.
The main campus is located in Hangzhou, home to major companies like Alibaba. Hangzhou blends cultural refinement and historical heritage, featuring the famous West Lake. The city provides a rich cultural and technological environment for students.
Studying in China offers benefits such as exposure to a dynamic healthcare system, rapid advancements in medical education, and intercultural experiences. Many international students feel at home in China, highlighting the welcoming environment.
The new international campus is located in Yiwu, a vibrant international city and the world's largest wholesale market for consumer goods. It attracts over half a billion foreign visitors annually. Yiwu is about 30 minutes from Hangzhou by high-speed train, with shuttle buses available.
